Lauren Hoernig

Lauren Hoernig (she/her), MA, AMFT, is an ecotherapist and wilderness guide practicing through Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health and Back to Earth. Lauren holds Wilderness First Responder, Education Specialist, Wilderness Leadership, and Holistic Counseling Psychology certifications and is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Lauren grew up in the forest in Indiana and moved to California in 2005. Lauren loves swimming in wild waters, roaming through the mountains, and singing around the campfire. Lauren has two kids and two cats and lives in Richmond nestled in with the wild birds, eucalyptus and pines.

Lauren has been guiding with Back to Earth since 2022, and she also supports the organization with outreach and developing the WILD Scholars program.
