Will has over a decade of experience in the outdoor education and youth development fields. He earned a B.A. in Outdoor Education & Environmental Studies from California State University, Chico, and an M.S. in Recreation, Parks, & Tourism from San Francisco State University.

Will's first community backpacking trip in Yosemite at age fourteen inspired him to pursue a career in outdoor leadership. Since then, working as an environmental education naturalist, summer camp counselor, wilderness therapy guide, river guide, backpacking guide, youth mentor, and non-profit program coordinator have been essential to his growth.

Will believes Back To Earth trips liberate participants to embrace their authentic self and discover more joy. He values creativity and imagination as essential practices for fostering empowerment. Will envisions a world where intergenerational communities form loving relationships that heal people, planet, and society. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
