2012 Spring Equinox Retreat: Activation

Come experience Joshua Tree. In this powerful and inspirational setting we’re going to tap into the unique plant wisdom and healing energy of Joshua Tree to build the strength and courage needed to walk through the proverbial “fire.”  We’ll use indigenous practices to connect you to your inner wisdom voice- clearing the beliefs, blocks and internal conflicts that prevent you from showing up fully in your work. A powerful visioning session will show you how to step into wholeness in an entirely new way that is effortless, irresistibly attractive and most importantly, personally sustainable.

This is a “don’t miss” event being offered at cost to prepare you to take yourself to a new level this year for the benefit of all. We’ve created this offering specifically with leaders, teachers and those in healing professions in mind, but it is open to anyone who feels called to serve with fierce authenticity and love. Receiving clarity and wholeness clears the way for you to offer your gifts and talents more fully to the world.

Ph.D. Ecologist and Yoga Instructor Kathren Murrell Stevenson, Conscious Business Leader and Executive Coach Michael O. Cooper (Coop) and Dashielle Vawter, Wilderness Guide and Center for Sacred Studies Minister, are teaming up to bring you this Spring Equinox Retreat in Joshua Tree National Park. You will be in competent hands as these three guide you through movement, meditation, and inquiry practices designed to help you harness your gifts and talents, and to maximize your contributions to the world.

This trip requires a short backpack of 1-2 miles with heavy packs to our back-country base camp from which we will operate for the duration of the retreat. All meals are organic, as local as possible and prepared for you with love by Guide Dashielle Vawter.

Are there scholarships available?

The price of this trip has been set to honor the time, energy and investments the instructors have poured into creating and holding this offering. We’ve priced it as affordably as possible to both honor the work and make it accessible. If you are ready for and desiring of this work but cannot afford this price, please contact us through the contact form and let us know your situation and what you’re are able to pay. Please keep in mind that currency is a form of energy and while it has different value for different people (for some 200 is a lot, for some 1000 is nothing) the energy and commitment you invest in your healing is connected to the benefit you’ll receive.

What is included in the price of a trip?

Back to Earth Outdoors provides delicious, organic, local, and lovingly prepared meals both at retreats and in the back-country; Back to Earth Organic Catering and Gather Restaurant both emerged out of the meals prepared on Back to Earth Outdoors trips. We also provide all group gear including water purification, first aid supplies and trained responders, instruction of the highest caliber, guides with experience and passion, and tents to clients who request them.

What’s not included in the price of a trip?

Because people fly from all over the world and travel from all over the country to join Back to Earth Outdoors we for the most part do not provide transportation to and from the starting points of our trips. We do however offer our time and energy to help organize carpools for those who are interested in reducing transportation costs and carbon emissions. Clients are also asked to bring their own backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and other minor personal effects. With prior arrangement we can loan backpacks, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads though these supplies are limited and loaned on a first come basis.

What are the accommodations?

Our accommodations for this trip are the soft earth and the company of plants, animals and the night time sky, filled with stars as we will be out under the new moon.

Where does my trip start?

Specific directions to the trail-head will be sent in an email prior to your trip.
