"Had the trip proven to be only 'Yoga in Yosemite,' I'm certain it would have been wonderful...but it was so much more. I came home more conscious and present than perhaps I've ever been. And when I begin to feel pushed or pulled away from my center, I have that space to return to - to return to me."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Darren Main, 2004

"I want to thank you again for a most extraordinary adventure in Yosemite. What a great first backpacking adventure... with great memories of fascinating conversations on the trail."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Darren Main, 2004

"What made this trip memorable was joining a group of strangers, and in a fairly short period of time developing a closeness and trust that imparted a real sense of family."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Samantha Matthews, 2006

"My favorite yoga session was definitely Sunday morning on top of the mountain!! Powerful, breathtaking, and beautiful!"

~ Yosemite Yoga with Christopher Love, 2005

"The miso soup really hit the spot and the food was exceptional overall!"

Yoga Yosemite with Karl Erb
July 15-19, 2009
Join Karl for days of outdoor wonder, song (kirtan), birdwatching, invigorating and restorative yoga practice and threads from the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita suited for connection with Nature (Five Elements guided meditation, pranayama, and more). All levels welcome. See yogaNexus.com

Karl's passion for yoga has gone through many stages in the 25 years since he began the study of yoga. While Karl has explored many forms, all study has drawn from the classical knowledge of yoga and ayurveda. His primary training has been in the Iyengar method of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Students say Karl inspires a depth of feeling and focus that is increasingly rare in the current Yoga market, aiding students in revealing awareness in presence and potential they did not know existed. While light and full of play and humor; practice with Karl is full of knowledge, anatomical precision, and an approach to sequencing that is always suited to who is present on a particular day. Practice with Karl is a celebration of the gift of breath while learning an approach to Asana and Pranayama that will change, challenge and deepen your practice for years to come.

Yoga Yosemite with Michelle Duguay and Joshua Cohen
July 23-26, 2009

We invite you to join us on an unforgettable exploration in yoga, adventure and finding balance in Nature. The weekend will flow beautifully as you unwind from stresses and tensions, relax into the serenity and tranquility of Yosemite, and as you connect deeply and find freedom within yourself.

Michelle Duguay has a passion for Yoga that is inspiring, her smile and sweet energy is infectious. Michelle's experience with yoga and holistic healing spans three decades. Her influences include classical Hatha yoga in the Bihar lineage, Vinyasa/Ashtanga, Therapeutic & Restorative, Iyengar, and Kundalini, with experience in Buddhism, meditation and shamanic practices. Most recently she has made a profound connection to the Shadow Yoga practice of Zhandor Remete and Ayurveda with her teacher Scott Blossom. Michelle is an avid adventurer into the outdoors, fishing and camping as often as possible and exudes high quality leadership tendencies.

Joshua Cohen has been on the yogic path for just over a decade. A back injury misdiagnosed followed by a recommendation for surgery was the original stimulus to find a way not bein pain anymore without drugs or scalpels. The immense motivation to understand himself better still ripples through the guided support Joshua now offers. Many inspiring teachers have wandered upon his path such as Aadil Palkivala, Eddie & Nicki, as well as his most influential teacher yet, Scott Blossom. Shadow Yoga is now the most influential practice he has ever been humbled by. Joshua is able to read bodies quite well and reflect what is the most medicinal and beneficial truth for each individual. Since he has spent the majority of his free time in nature exploring remote valleys & enjoying living simply off the land, he is the ideal yoga teacher for a journey like this!
